Procedure of Online Application

STEP1Enter and check the details of your application

Enter the details of your application following the website and check it.

* About submission of photograph
You can submit digital photograph taken by smartphone, tablet or digital camera from this website. Following the website, please submit your photo after uploading and editing. In this case, you need not send your photo by post. If you submit your photo without uploading to this website, please write your application number, your name and school/department name on the back of your photo and post with other required documents.

STEP2Enter Payment Information

Choose the method of payment from the following list:
For applications from outside Japan, only credit card payments can be accepted.
(1) Credit Card (VISA, Mastercard, JCB, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DinersClub)
(2) Convenience Store (7-Eleven, LAWSON, MINISTOP, FamilyMart, CircleKSunkus, Daily Yamazaki, Three F, Seicomart)
(3) Banking facilities’ ATM [Pay-easy]
(4) Online Banking

*If you select [Credit card] as your payment method for the application fee, the transaction is complete when you complete registering the details of your application.

In addition to the application fee, you need to pay 500 Japanese Yen as the processing fee.
The amount of processing fee is the same regardless of the method of payment (Credit Card / Convenience Store / Banking facilities’ ATM [Pay-easy] / Online Banking).

STEP3Send the Application Documents by post

(For applications from inside Japan)

Use the envelope “Kakugata-2go” (Square Type 2; 24cm x 33,2cm). Enclose all the necessary documents required to post. Send the envelope by simple registered mail by the “deadline for submission of the application documents”.

If you have a printer, click the button below to print an address label, and affix it to the envelope. (Can be used with monochrome printers.) It is strongly recommended that you print the label of the address to be pasted on the envelope. If it's not possible, write the information provided on the label directly on the envelope.

You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed in order to print the label.
If you do not have Adobe Reader, you can download it by clicking the button on the right.

Use a commercially available A4-size envelope. Enclose all the necessary documents required to post. Send the envelope by the fastest international mail such as EMS (Express Mail Service) by the “deadline for submission of the application documents”.
